Rangers Linked with Ross McCormack…But Fans Are Torn Over Potential Move

Rangers are being linked with a move for Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack but it would seem the club’s supporters are somewhat split over whether or not the deal is a good idea.

The Scotland international is now 32 and spent last season on-loan from Villa Park at Australian side Melbourne City, having fallen out with Villa boss Steve Bruce.

However, spells with Fulham, Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Cardiff City have proved McCormack to be a regular and reliable goal-scorer in the English Championship, and he could still have a big part to play in British football this season.

McCormack still has two seasons to run on his Aston Villa contract, so another loan deal would seem the most likely outcome for all parties, and The Express are reporting that Steven Gerrard is interested in bringing him back to the club he started out with.

McCormack came through the youth ranks at Ibrox, and made 11 league appearances before moving on – but not everybody is convinced bringing him back to Glasgow would be the best idea:

Rangers have been linked with a striker this month – most notably Kyle Lafferty – but would a player like McCormack fit the bill?

What do you think?
