Sky Sports have given a big update on the Kyle Lafferty to Rangers story.
The Hearts striker has been linked with a return to Ibrox for much of this summer and Craig Levein last week confirmed that the club were in talks about a potential move.
An initial bid from Rangers had been rejected by the Tynecastle outfit, but appears their interest hasn’t faded and they’ve now met the Jambos’ demands.
That should explain why Sky Sports are reporting that Lafferty is to have a medical at Rangers today ahead of sealing a return:

So you’d expect Lafferty to pass that medical and become a Rangers player over the coming days – and that is a big boost to Steven Gerrard and the Ibrox club.
As for Hearts, they’ll have to deal with the departure of a player who has been vitally important for them already this season.
Manager Levein will no doubt be hoping Steven Naismith and summer signing Uche Ikpeazu can pick up the slack.
