Video: Anthony Stokes Continues Scoring Form With 3rd Tractor Sazi Goal in 5 Games

Anthony Stokes has continued his strong goalscoring form with his third goal in five games for Tractor Sazi.

The Irish striker surprised many when he decided to move out to Iran in search of regular first team football.

He joined former Wales manager John Toshack at Sazi, with ex-Rangers man Harry Forrester also moving over before Lee Erwin joined from Kilmarnock.

But it’s going well so far for Stokes, who has now got three goals in five games for the Iranian side.

Tractor have started the season strongly and that’s thanks to the former Celtic striker.

His goal against Gostaresh Foolad Tabriz helped his side to a 2-1 win today:

Stokes looks sharp!

Given the money he’s probably earning and the lifestyle in Iran, it’s difficult to see Stokes returning to the UK anytime soon.

But he’s only 30 still and will no doubt have his sights set on playing in British football again at some point.
