The Ibrox side travelled to Russia with a 1-0 lead from last week’s first leg and knew how tough it was going to be to advance to the group stages.
Their task was made harder with Alfredo Morelos and Jon Flanagan both being sent off on the night.
But Ovie Ejaria’s beauty gave them a big away goal before Ufa equalised – and then it took an incredible performance from nine men to keep the score at 1-1 and give Rangers the 2-1 aggregate victory that put them through.
Gerrard, his staff and players were absolutely delighted when the full-time whistle sounded in Russia.
And the manager’s celebration with Halliday as they headed towards the travelling fans will bring a smile to the face of every Rangers fan:

Rangers fans will love that sort of passion from their manager and a player who knows exactly what they’re going through celebrating a big result for their team.
