Video: Scotland’s Matt Phillips Scores a Belting Volley in West Brom Draw

Scotland’s Matt Phillips scored an absolute belting volley in West Brom‘s draw with Nottingham Forest last night.

The Tartan Army international is getting stuck into life in the Championship following the Baggies’ Premier League relegation last season.

And despite the team starting off with two 1-1 draws, Phillips has played well and produced a stunning strike to earn them their point away at Nottingham Forest last night.

Adlene Guedioura gave Forest the lead halfway through the second half with a nice strike, but it was all about Phillips’ equaliser as he met a bouncing ball on the right-hand side of the box with a superb volley into the top corner:

What a hit!

If Phillips keeps up that sort of form, he should have no problem earning a place in Alex McLeish’s Scotland squad for upcoming games against Belgium and Albania.

He’s got 11 caps already to his name and should go on to earn plenty more under McLeish.
