Celtic’s Jonny Hayes Sends Young Rangers Fan His Shirt After Saving Him From Bullies

Celtic midfielder Jonny Hayes has proved himself to be one of the nicest men in football after stepping in to help a young Rangers fan who was being tormented by school bullies.

As described by his mum on Facebook earlier today, Hayes went above and beyond when it came to helping out her son Callum, after seeing an altercation between Callum other school kids in a co-op supermarket.

Not only did Hayes defuse the situation and make sure Callum was OK, but he also followed it up with a brilliant gift – complete with some priceless advice – when asked for his autograph at Celtic’s Lennoxtown training centre.

As you can see from the main image above, the former Aberdeen winger had sent over his Hoops shirt, complete with the note: ‘Don’t let the boys from school get you down. Bullies aren’t worth your time, if you ever need anything I’m five minutes up the road. Jonny’.

As mentioned in the original Facebook post, young Callum is a Rangers fan, but something tells us he’ll have a soft spot for Jonny Hayes for a long time to come.

What a brilliant gesture, eh?
