Chris Davies has explained Daniel Arzani’s exclusion from Celtic‘s Europa League squad.
The Hoops assistant manager spoke to the media this morning to help promote Saturday’s A Match For Cancer at Celtic Park.
A Stiliyan Petrov side will take on a James Milner team in front of what they hope will be a packed Parkhead – all proceeds will go to three charities linked to both players and the club.
Davies should be there, but he’s got a week of work to do with the Hoops first as they continue to work with players who aren’t involved with their international teams.
And the media had plenty to talk to Davies about today, including summer signing Daniel Arzani’s exclusion from Celtic’s Europa League squad.
According to Davies, the Australian, who signed on loan from Manchester City weeks ago, still has developing to do:
🗣️ CD on @iamdanielarzani's exclusion from #UEL squad: "He’s still got a way to go in terms of building up to speed & conditioning. He’s a young player and we are going to support him to develop here. Obviously when selecting your registered squad you’ve got to make decisions."

Arzani has yet to feature in a Celtic squad since signing for the club, but you’d expect him to go on and play an important role for the team throughout his two-year loan spell in Glasgow.
