Chris Sutton has shared his dislike for Leigh Griffiths’ ‘I’m the man’ behaviour recently.
The former Celtic striker watched on like the rest of us as the Hoops lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock at the weekend to continue a poor start to the Scottish Premiership season.
In six games, Brendan Rodgers’ team have picked up just 10 points and currently sit sixth in the table – six points off league leaders Hearts.
They did get a good 1-0 victory over Rosenborg last Thursday night in their Europa League opener, thanks to Griffiths’ late header.
The Scottish striker had climbed off the bench to score that goal and celebrated by shouting about how he is number one striker at the club.
Sutton believes he did something similar after scoring for Celtic at Rugby Park on Sunday.
And he also believes that negatively impacts the harmony among the Celtic squad.
Speaking, per dailyrecord.co.uk, Sutton said: “Griffiths is a terrific striker but I don’t like this ‘I’m the man’ stuff.
“He did it again at Killie. That doesn’t create harmony. If I’m Edouard, I don’t like that. Where’s Scott Sinclair?”
Should he be criticising Griffiths though?
At the moment, the Scotland international is one of only a few players performing well for Celtic and he’ll be expected to continue scoring if the Hoops are to improve their form domestically.
