Kyle Lafferty burned a fan who responded to his tweet yesterday about going a year without betting.
The Rangers striker opened up on his gambling addiction last year and yesterday celebrated the fact that a year has passed since he last put a bet on.
He took to Twitter to share that achievement and received overall positive response from supporters:
Never thought I would ever see this day. It’s been 1 year today since the last time I placed a bet. I was in a dark place and lowest iv ever been and to come out off it and celebrate this achievement is amazing and Iv never been happier. 3️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ days

But one responded saying the international break has just finished so he could get back to betting – a cruel dig considering how serious a gambling addiction is:
That’s the international break finished ma man , full card on for the coupons this weekend

One fan spotted that response and tagged a pal to see it too:

And that caught Lafferty’s attention, with the Rangers striker deciding to poke some fun back at the fan:
You find your mate funny Ned Flanders

That fan saw the funny side of the reply from the Northern Irishman:

Lafferty deserves a lot of credit for tackling his addiction head on and the one-year anniversary of his last bet is a big achievement.
