Moussa Dembele has sent his congratulations to Celtic after they beat Rangers today.
The Hoops went into this afternoon’s game against their Glasgow rivals after a difficult week.
They beat Suduva to qualify for the group stages of the Europa League, but had to deal with Lyon’s interest in Dembele and the player publicly trying to force the move.
Celtic knocked back Lyon’s initial offers for the Frenchman, with Brendan Rodgers saying that he was ‘confident’ of keeping the striker at the club beyond Friday’s deadline.
But Dembele took to Twitter late Thursday night to have a dig at Rodgers – and he followed that up with some other Twitter activity in the hours after.
And it all ended with Celtic selling Dembele in a £19.7million deal.
Without their star man, the Hoops did just fine today – with Olivier Ntcham’s goal proving the difference on the day.
He might be in Lyon, but Dembele was watching on and took to Twitter to congratulate his former teammates:
As Usual only ONE team in Glasgow @CelticFC ☘️🤷🏾♂️Well done Bhoys 👏🏿

Somehow we don’t think the Celtic fans will appreciate his message much.
