FAST FORWARD

It is the quiet weekend again… Whilst Eddie Hearn fishes and Frank Warren berates Sky Sports we have some domestic action around the UK across the week including tonight Saturday the 1st of September in Doncaster some 6 fights and in Birmingham there are 10 fights. Later on in the week, on Friday the 5th of September and in sunny Cleethorpes there are no fewer than 5 fights

Also, on Friday, in Leeds featherweight Jack Bateson takes on Scotland’s Scott McCormack and we can hope the saltire flies at the end of it all but there is probably a reason he has been asked to travel and it ain’t to get a win…

In Cardiff we have the return of super welterweight Liam Williams as part of a 9 fight bill and will face Edwin Palacios. This looks like a keep busy contest…

In Scotland we have a couple of bills up there and out there as SM promotions, Saturday the 1st of September – that’s tonight – brings us super lightweight Dean Sutherland who will take on Arvydas Trizno, super bantamweight Kristen Fraser will take on Dominika Novotna and super bantamweight Billy Stuart faces Khvicha Gigolashvili in Aberdeen. In Bellshill on Friday the 5th of September Paul Graham brings us super welterweight Craig Kelly in against Jordan Grannum, cruiserweight David Jamieson makes his debut up against Dmitry Kalinovskij and super lightweight Eddie Doyle faces Jamie Quinn. Of course, the home fighters are heavily favoured, and I am delighted to see Craig Kelly back in action and hope he can see his wins increase by one and climb towards a Scottish title fight again.
