Rangers Fans Reckon It’s Time Glenn Middleton Was Given a Run in the Starting XI

Rangers secured a very creditable 2-2 draw away to Villarreal this evening, with youngster Glenn Middleton coming up with a very influential and impressive cameo in the second-half.

The Premiership side played their first match in proper European competition in seven years, and managed to take a point away from the La Liga cracks after second-half strikes from Kyle Lafferty and Scott Arfield.

The entire Rangers team put in a gargantuan effort to contain the fifth-best side in the Spanish top-flight last season but 18-year-old Middleton definitely stood out above the rest after coming on midway through the second-half.

The teenager played a big part in setting-up Lafferty in the 75th minute, and looked like creating an opportunity pretty much every time he got on the ball.

He input tonight, and generally this season under Steven Gerrard, has definitely caught the eye of the Gers supporters:
