Ally McCoist says Scott Brown only hates Hampden because he’s an Edinburgh boy.
The Celtic captain yesterday criticised the SFA’s decision to remain at Hampden going forward, rejecting the opportunity to move to Murrayfield or take national team games elsewhere.
Brown revealed that the national stadium is one of the worst he’s played in for atmosphere and he believes Scotland games should be taken out on the road.
But McCoist disagrees with that – insisting Brown only believes that because he comes from Edinburgh and he’s unhappy that Murrayfield was shunned.
McCoist even joked that Brown must have been in a bad mood yesterday when he spoke about Hampden.
The former Scotland striker appeared on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast Show on talkSPORT this morning and said:
"He must be on the wind up! Get Scott Brown on the phone!"
🤯 Ally McCoist cannot believe Scott Brown has genuinely labelled Hampden Park "one of the worst" for atmospheres! 🏟️🏴

Scottish football is to remain at Hampden and yesterday’s announcement should come as a positive step for those who want to see the stadium redeveloped to improve the atmosphere and match day experience inside.
