Video: Fraser Hornby Scores Brilliant Hat-Trick in Scotland Under 21s Win

Fraser Hornby scored a brilliant hat-trick in Scotland Under 21s’ 3-0 win over Andorra last night.

The Everton youngster has emerged as a top player for Scot Gemmill’s youngsters over the last year and led the line in a strong team at Tynecastle last night.

More attention was on talent like Billy Gilmour, Mikey Johnston and David Bates going into the game.

But it was all about Hornby’s finishing on the night – the 18-year-old scoring from the penalty spot before producing two nice finishes in the box to give them the 3-0 win.

This was Hornby’s first:

And his second came courtesy of a brilliant cross from Gilmour:

Chris Cadden deserves a lot of credit for his part in the third goal:

With the emergence of Oli McBurnie from the 21s to compliment Leigh Griffiths in the senior team, the future up front looks promising for the Tartan Army.

And if Hornby can match his goals with the Under 21s with games and goals for Everton then it shouldn’t be long until he’s on Alex McLeish’s radar.
