Robin van Persie reminded the world of his incredible talent this afternoon – before also reminding us all of his incredibly fiery temper too.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker is still turning out for hometown club Feyenoord, and even at the grand old age of 35 it seems he still knows his way around a free-kick, and still possesses and absolute wand of a left-foot.
Feyenoord – managed by another former Arsenal star, Giovanni van Bronkhorst – managed to see off Vitesse this afternoon 2-1 at home, and were helped in no small part by van Persie’s stunning set-piece in the 87th minute:

But it seems the ex-Netherlands skipper hadn’t quite grabbed enough of the spotlight, and just a mere few moments later, he was shown a straight red by the match referee:
