Aberdeen were keen for a 50/50 split of briefs for the Hampden showdown on October 28 and they were initially granted an allotment of just over 20,000.
However, it was announced today that had been cut to just 15,000, after the Pittodrie side managed to shift just 9,000, and former Ibrox hero Rae reckons the figures make for pretty embarrassing reading for Derek McInnes’s side:
SPFL take tickets back from Aberdeen for semi-final v Rangers due to Dons selling only 9,000 to date. Originally Aberdeen were allocated 20,300, now cut to under 15,000
Rather embarrassing this for @AberdeenFC .

Given the ill-feeling between the two clubs, there’s absolutely no doubt this hands the bragging rights to Rangers supporters before a ball has even been kicked.
It remains to be seen what happens with the 5,000 tickets that have been reclaimed by the SPFL, and whether or not they can now be given to Gers fans, but what do you think of the saga?
