Billy Gilmour Included in List of 60 Best Young Players in the World

Former Rangers kid Billy Gilmour has been included on a prestigious list of the world’s best up-and-coming footballers, as he continues to flourish in the Chelsea youth teams.

The teenager turned 17 earlier this year, and really made a name for himself on the international stage by scoring a brilliant goal for and captaining the Scotland Under-21 side at the Toulon Tournament in France this summer.

He’s also scored several impressive goals in the Blue of Chelsea too, and it seems Gilmour is starting to win admiring glances.

Every year The Guardian puts together a collection of footballers who’ll likely be the stars of tomorrow, with previous entrants including Wayne Rooney, Leo Messi and Sergio Aguero.

And now Gilmour has joined them in the 2018 compilation, alongside Manchester United’s Mason Greenwod and Barcelona prodigy Konrad de la Fuente.

Could it be that Scotland, finally, have a genuine top class, elite talent on our hands?
