Daniel Arzani’s omission from their reserve team yesterday suggests he be could near a Celtic first team spot.
The Australian winger has been at the Parkhead club since signing a two-year loan deal back in August.
At the time, it was expected that he’d provide another option in the final third for Brendan Rodgers, but that is yet to materialise as he looks to settle into life in Scotland.
The Hoops management team spoke about how it would take time for Arzani to make an impact on the first team.
And that’s why he’s played reserve team football and had no involvement with the top team yet.
But that could be set to change, with the Aussie missing out on Celtic’s reserve team win over Partick Thistle yesterday.
Instead, Arzani was training with the first team ahead of their Europa League clash with RB Leipzig tomorrow night.
And that suggests he could be nearer a top team appearance:

James Forrest misses out on tomorrow’s game due to suspension so there is an opportunity for a wide player to make an impact in his absence.
But will that be Arzani? Unfortunately for him, it can’t be.
The Australian isn’t in Celtic’s Europa League squad so his first opportunity will need to come in domestic football.
