Harry Redknapp Gives Update on Thierry Henry and John Terry to Aston Villa

Harry Redknapp has given an update on Thierry Henry and John Terry becoming Aston Villa‘s new management team.

The English manager knows exactly what it takes to lead an English Championship team to promotion to the Premier League.

It was speculated earlier this week that Henry was in line to replace Steve Bruce as manager at Villa Park, with Terry joining as his number two after deciding to retire.

That would be quite the managerial duo for a club that’s in need of some inspiration as they attempt to recover from a poor start to the season and get promoted.

But Redknapp has cast doubt over the pair joining Villa after spending time with Terry at a function last night.

Speaking on talkSPORT this morning, the former Tottenham manager said:

That may disappoint some Villa fans who are desperate to see Henry become their manager.

The Frenchman has been assisting Roberto Martinez with Belgium over recent years, but left that role in the summer to focus on becoming a manager himself.

As for Terry, he most recently played with Villa before leaving in the summer. Up until this week it was expected that he’d continue his career somewhere, but he’s retired now and could go straight into a job at his old club.
