Jose Mourinho Defends Chelsea Coach Marco Ianni and Says He Doesn’t Want Him Sacked

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has defended Chelsea coach Marco Ianni in the wake of Saturday’s dramatic touchline bust-up between the two at Stamford Bridge.

Ianni celebrated in Mourinho’s face after the Blues scored a last-gasp equaliser against the Red Devils in the entertaining 2-2 draw, sparking an angry reaction from the Special One.

Several stewards were needed to pull Mourinho away from Ianni but it seems Mourinho has calmed down significantly since then, and facing the media this afternoon ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Juventus, he even defended Ianni’s conducted – insisting the Italian isn’t sacked from his post.

Given he’s been known to indulge in a few over the top celebrations himself, perhaps Mourinho has just realised it was a pretty naive mistake by a young coach, eh?

However, Phil Neville has openly said he reckons Ianni should be sacked by Chelsea – but what do you think?
