Jurgen Klopp Praises Sadio Mane Despite Carrying Thumb Injury

Jurgen Klopp has praised Sadio Mane despite the Liverpool attacker carrying a thumb injury at the moment.

The German manager will be delighted after leading his side to a 4-1 victory over Cardiff at Anfield today.

Mane was among the star performers in the dominant display, scoring twice either side of a Xherdan Shaqiri goal.

And that result puts Liverpool top of the Premier League by three points – at least until Manchester City play Tottenham at Wembley on Monday night.

Mane could be about to hit top form at the perfect time, with Liverpool due to play both Arsenal and PSG in November.

It doesn’t seem like Mane’s thumb injury – picked up while on international duty with Senegal – is causing him any issues:

Mane certainly doesn’t look like he’s carrying any injuries – he was scintillating for Liverpool today.

The Reds are next in action against Arsenal next Saturday in a game that will test them as title contenders.
