Man Utd Fans Slaughter Alexis Sanchez For His Poor Display Against Valencia

Alexis Sanchez was reinstated into the Manchester United starting XI tonight but the Chilean attacker really struggled to make any sort of impact on proceedings – leading to a barrage of abuse from the club’s supporters.

Sanchez was left out of the team which lost 3-1 at West Ham United on Saturday, but with Jose Mourinho under severe pressure to keep his job at Old Trafford, the former Arsenal striker was recalled for this evening’s visit of Valencia in the Champions League.

In the end, United were held to an underwhelming 0-0 draw, with their attackers unable to carve open the Spaniards’ defence – and Sanchez has been fingered as one of the chief culprits by fans.

When he arrived at the Red Devils back in January, everyone expected to see the player that was a fan favourite in North London but Sanchez looks a shadow of the world class player who turned out for the Gunners.

Mourinho subbed Sanchez for Anthony Martial with nine minutes remaining and the reaction to his display on Twitter was pretty predictable:

Just why is Sanchez playing so poorly for United?

What do you think?
