Plenty of Rangers Fans Reckon Umar Sadiq Has Played His Final Game For the Club

Umar Sadiq will still be licking his wounds tonight with the rest of the Rangers squad after yesterday’s defeat in the Betfred Cup semi-finals, but there’s plenty of the club’s supporters who reckon they won’t see the striker turning out in the iconic light blue shirts again.

After failing to make much of an impact at all since joining from Roma on a season-long loan in the summer, Sadiq was handed the opportunity to lead the line for the Gers at Hampden against Aberdeen, but it’s fair to say his performance left a lot to be desired.

Not only did he fail to make any real dent on the Dons’ defence but he also managed to squander a gilt-edged chance to level the tie at 1-1 with just minutes to go, but was instead booked for diving after throwing himself to the floor in a heap.

The 21-year-old is supposed to be playing in the Scottish Premiership until the end of the campaign, but these fans reckon yesterday will be the final time he’s ever handed the responsibility of being Rangers’ lead striker:

Do you think Sadiq will play for Rangers again? Was his display really that bad?
