Billy Gilmour once again showed why he’s one of the most exciting young players in British football this afternoon by scoring a hat-trick for Chelsea in the UEFA Youth League.
The 17-year-old lined-up for the Blues in their tie against Norwegian side Molde, and it wasn’t long before the junior Premier League side’s quality told.
Gilmour had his hat-trick sewn-up before the hour mark, with Daishawn Redan also helping himself to a treble, and George McEachran and Charlie Brown also getting in on the act as Chelsea spanked their opponents 10-1.

Despite being a diminutive midfielder, Gilmour managed to score two headers this afternoon, underlining the versatility and overall quality which persuaded the Stamford Bridge club to part with £500,000 to sign him from Rangers in the summer of 2017.
He might still be a teenager, but Gilmour made his Scotland Under-21 debut earlier this year, and if he continues to progress at this rate it can’t be too long before he’s knocking on the door for first-team football, eh?
