Sergio Ramos Hits Back at Those Who Say He Stamped On Raheem Sterling

Sergio Ramos has hit back at those who say he stamped on Raheem Sterling during Spain‘s 3-2 defeat to England.

The Real Madrid defender was heavily involved in Monday night’s UEFA Nations League game in Seville.

He was on the receiving end of a ferocious Eric Dier tackle in the first half, which has been shared virally on social media since.

Ramos also scored Spain’s second goal of the game in injury time, but it wasn’t enough to get them at least a point.

But the biggest incident involving Ramos in the game came when he ‘apparently’ stamped on Sterling.

Video of the incident has been shared widely across social media:

As you can see from the interaction on that tweet, Ramos has been taking a lot of stick from England fans.

But he’s hit back at his critics this morning, sharing a video to his Twitter that shows he didn’t connect with the Manchester City man:

That pretty much proves Ramos didn’t connect with Sterling and doesn’t deserve the stick that’s been coming his way.
