The Lyon striker has been linked repeatedly with a move to Anfield since the summer, and similar rumours were circulating during the World Cup in Russia that the 25-year-old was about to sign on the dotted line with Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Nabil Fekir's interview on YT now posted as a private video!😭💔 pic.twitter.com/OYwROjOovw

However, the move never happened and Fekir stayed put, but with the January transfer window only around the corner, the same rumours have popped back up, with an image purporting to show the Frenchman giving his first comments as a Reds player floating around Twitter.
In the modern world of multi million pound transfers, it wouldn’t be particularly strange for a player to pop over to Merseyside on his day off to go through a medical and a quick interview, would it?
Well, that may be true, but it looks like the supposed clip you’ve seen is nothing more than a pretty sophisticated photoshop:
Recent 2nd Fekir image looks like it's been taken from a moment in this Fekir interview. Then LFC shirt added, superimposed on a YouTube background with playlists etc. pic.twitter.com/MzyGr7Q0tt

If anyone’s interested, this is photoshopped. Fekir did his first interview before the deal hit a snag, but #LFC wouldn’t take a sponsor’s board to France to use it as a backdrop.https://t.co/kcSrYy7Z4j

so the Fekir photo is fake and I've had my wounds reopened by something that isn't real? pic.twitter.com/NrMQPTIb1l

Shame, because we’d absolutely love to see how he’d fare in the Premier League.
What do you make of the Nabil Fekir saga? Will he eventually end up in England?
