Video: Arsenal’s Emile Smith-Rowe Scores First-Ever Goal for the Club Against Qarabag

Arsenal youngster Emile Smith-Rowe created a little slice of history this evening by scoring his first-ever goal for the club in the Europa League tie against Qarabag.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been earmarked as a potential Gunners star for several seasons now, with his recent displays in the club’s Under-23 side enough to persuade Unai Emery to give him a first-team opportunity.

And Smith-Rowe didn’t let his manager down in Azerbaijan this evening, as he followed up Sokratis’s opening goal in the first-half with a strike of his own on 50 minutes.

The teenager was set-up well by Alex Iwobi, with the goal definitely made in the Arsenal academy:

Of course, Arsenal boast some pretty exciting talents up-front when they’re at full strength but could Smith-Rowe break into the starting XI on a more regular basis in the Premier League?

What do you think?
