The 21-year-old midfielder has really struggled with a spate of serious injuries since moving to Ibrox from Liverpool in the summer of 2016, and today was only his second start in the Premiership for the club and his first under Steven Gerrard.
The decision to include Rossiter at New Douglas Park raised a few eyebrows when the teams were released, not least because of Hamilton’s controversial synthetic surface.
But the England youth international seemed to come through the game unscathed before being subbed in the 82nd minute for winger Eros Grezda.
Speaking with Rangers TV afterwards, it was pretty clear he’s just happy to be back playing again:

Thought Rossiter had a steady performance, 80 minutes on a pitch like that. Once back to full fitness we'll have a player there. Also looks delighted himself to be back.

How big a player could Rossiter become for Rangers if he stays fit?
