Video: Mesut Ozil Scores Brilliant Deft Goal For Arsenal v Leicester City

Mesut Ozil came to Arsenal‘s rescue this evening against Leicester City by scoring his third Premier League goal of the season in the most classic Mesut Ozil way imaginable.

Unai Emery’s side were against the ropes for the bulk of the first-half at the Emirates, with the Foxes putting in an excellent performance and taking the lead through a deflected Ben Chilwell effort on 31 minutes.

In truth, the Gunners struggled to create any clear-cut chances at all, but Ozil decided to take the bull by the horns on the stroke of half-time.

Captaining the North London club from the start of a Premier League fixture for the first time, Ozil started the move which led to his own cool deft finish, leaving the Leicester defence with absolutely no chance:

He’s often accused of being lethargic and looking uninterested but could the captain’s armband be the key to unlocking Ozil’s undeniable talent?
