Reiss Nelson scored a beautiful free-kick for England’s Under 21s against Scotland tonight.
The Arsenal youngster – who is currently out on loan at Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim – was one of the stars on show at Tynecastle for tonight’s Euro 2019 qualifier.
And he lived up to the billing with a brilliant performance for Aidy Boothroyd’s team.
Nelson was a constant threat in attack and could have had a goal or assist before lining up for the free-kick in the second half.
But he showed the quality on the free-kick that was previously missing in the earlier chances to produce a lovely curling strike into the top corner beyond Ross Doohan:
How good is that?
Nelson has made a strong start to life at Hoffenheim and if he continues this sort of form then he’ll have no problem making an impact at Arsenal when he returns to the club next summer.
Unai Emery has plenty of attacking options though so Nelson will no doubt have many admirers outside Arsenal too.
