Dutch footballing legend Ruud Gullit has named a Scot in his all-time footballing XI, with Rangers and Motherwell legend Davie Cooper making the cut alongside some of the greatest names to ever play the game.
Gullit – two-time Ballon d’Or winner – has put together a dream team of stars made-up of different opponents throughout his footballing life, and Cooper has been deemed good enough to make the grade.
Gullit selects the likes of Kaka, Maldini, Maradona and van Basten, with Zinedine Zidane only selected for a spot on the bench.
But a young Gullit was so mesmerised by Cooper when he came up against him in a friendly during his early days as a Feyenoord player, as he explains in the clip below:

Davie Cooper might not be remembered by some of football’s younger fans these days, but just how good was he in his pomp?
And what do you make of Gullit’s selections?
