Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt grabbed his first goals for Australia’s Central Coast Mariners this afternoon… with a little help from ex-Rangers and Motherwell forward Ross McCormack.

Bolt made his first start for the A-League side on Friday, in a what has been dubbed a “trial match” against Macarthur South West United.

And it appears the eight-time Olympic champion absolutely smashed it, as he scored an emphatic brace in a bid to earn a professional contract.

While Bolt will quite rightly receive world-wide media attention for his goal-scoring exploits, we’re equally as interested in the man who made it all possible, McCormack.

The striker delivers an inch-perfect chip which allows Bolt to showcase his legendary pace before slipping the ball beyond the goalkeeper:

McCormack, who has 13 Scotland caps, is currently on loan with Australian side having struggled to hold down a place at Aston Villa.

Only time will tell whether Bolt and McCormack can continue their seemingly unlikely connection in the weeks to come!
