A Potential John Guidetti Return Wouldn’t Be Popular Amongst Celtic Supporters

John Guidetti reportedly wants a move back to Celtic in the January transfer window – but the club’s supporters are far from on-board with the muted idea.

The Sweden international is currently on the books of La Liga side Deportivo Alaves but, according to the Scotsman, the 26-year-old is weighing-up his options after losing his starting berth for the Spanish club, and the Hoops are high on his wish-list.

Of course, Guidetti already spent a six-month spell on-loan at Celtic Park earlier in his career under Ronny Deila, where he scored 15 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions, including a memorable last-gasp equaliser against Inter Milan in the Europa League.

However, Guidetti passed on the opportunity to become a Celt on a full-time basis, and was pretty uncomplimentary about playing in Scotland after he left for Celta Vigo.

It seems if there’s any truth to the reports of a possible return, Guidetti would certainly have his work cut-out convincing this lot it’d be a good idea:

Do you think Guidetti would be accepted back if he started scoring goals?
