Steven Gerrard’s men put in a scintillating first-half performance in Russia, with an own goal from Roman Eremenko getting the ball rolling before strikes from Daniel Candeias and Lassana Coulibaly sent them into the break leading 3-2.

When I was getting ready to leave work it was 1-1, to be winning 3-2 at half time is fucking brilliant, was fearing the worst the drive home!
Definitely should have been four though, seen pics of that and Morelos is about a yard on side!

But things could have been even more impressive for the Gers had Morelos’s goal stood, with the striker coolly stroking home for what would have made it 4-2.
As you can see from the image above, and various tweets from Gers supporters, Morelos was definitely onside, cruelly denying the 22-year-old his 15th goal of the season.
Were you convinced Morelos was onside as he received the ball? And how crucial could that linesman’s flag turn out to be at the end of the group stage?
