Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Kouassi Eboue will miss the rest of the season through injury – and Daniel Arzani is most likely to be out for the same period of time.
Celtic have been hit with a raft of injuries over recent weeks, with Kouassi and Arzani the latest this week.
The Ivory Coast midfielder started the Betfred Cup semi-final with Hearts at the weekend, but has to be substituted before half-time after picking up a knee injury.
On Wednesday night, Arzani made his long-awaited debut for the Hoops, but he lasted just 23 minutes of that game before being stretchered off with a knee injury too.
And now Rodgers has confirmed that both have suffered cruciate ligament injuries – and are likely to miss the rest of the season.
Speaking at his Celtic press conference this afternoon:
🗣️ BR on injury updates "Unfortunately, it looks like cruciate injuries for both Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi. It's disappointing for them because they've been working hard to get into the team."

That is terrible news for both players as they only recently got their opportunities to play in the first team after a long period being patient on the sidelines.
Now Celtic will have a more depleted squad for the coming months and you’d expect plans to be put in place to strengthen the squad in January.
