Celtic Promise 10 Minute Light Show Ahead of Tomorrow’s RB Leipzig Tie

Celtic are set to finally give their fans a glimpse of their expensive new lights, and the Scottish Premiership champions are promising a ten minute show before tomorrow night’s match.

The Hoops have reportedly shelled out around £4million throughout 2018 as they attempt to transform Parkhead into one of the continent’s top sporting venues, and the new LED floodlights are definitely the highlight addition.

Fans are yet to experience the new lights but tomorrow’s night’s Europa League tie against RB Leipzig is the perfect opportunity, now we’re firmly into the winter months.

According to the official Celtic website, fans should be in their seat for the start of the light show by 7.45pm, with kick-off not until 8pm.

The message on the website’s ‘matchday’ section states: ‘Make sure you arrive early on Thursday as the Bhoys take on RB Leipzig in a crucial UEFA Europa League group-stage clash and settle in to your seat for 7:45pm when the Celtic Park lightshow gets underway.

‘Prepare for Paradise to be plunged into darkness, before being lit up like never before as we crank up the legendary atmosphere throughout the build up to kick-off at 8pm.

‘Get involved as the lightshow comes to a close with a rousing rendition of You’ll Never Walk Alone from the stands, before the teams make their way on to the pitch at 7:55pm.’

The so-called ‘disco lights’ have become slightly controversial over the last few months, particularly in the wake of the club’s disappointing summer transfer window, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t looking forward to their debut.
