Daniel Arzani has confirmed that an injured ACL will keep him out until next season.
The Celtic winger only made his debut for the club last midweek in a 5-0 victory away at Dundee.
But he lasted just 20 minutes of that debut before having to go off with what looked like a serious knee injury.
Arzani had to be patient to get his Celtic chance after joining the club on a two-year loan back in August – going into the reserves to get game time.
The Australian winger impressed in the chances he got though and Brendan Rodgers rewarded him with a debut at Dens Park a week ago.
Sadly for Arzani, that ended prematurely and now he’ll have to wait until next season to make an impact for the Scottish club.
He confirmed that on Twitter late last night:
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time out of their day to show support and love. Unfortunately I will need an ACL Op, ruling me out till next season! This is a tough time for me but also a chance to improve and come out of this better than ever! Love you all! 🤙🏽💚💛🍀 pic.twitter.com/sHHtOWUUi0

Arzani was only signed by Manchester City in the summer and was immediately sent out on loan to Celtic for his first taste of British football.
But this is a big setback for the Australian international and it will be interesting to see what the future holds for him as a result.
