James Milner Shares Picture He Thinks Sums Up Liverpool’s Loss to PSG

James Milner has shared a picture that he thinks sums up Liverpool’s loss to Paris Saint-Germain last night.

Jurgen Klopp’s men travelled to Paris for their fifth Champions League group game knowing that a positive result would put them in a strong position to make the last 16 with a game to go.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, they were unable to get that positive result – going down 2-1 at the hands of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and co.

Juan Bernat scored the first for PSG before Neymar hit their second, with Milner then pulling one back for Liverpool from the penalty spot.

But the rest of the game was frustrating for the Reds as they tried and failed to get an equaliser.

Klopp criticised the referee post-match and the antics of the PSG players have been criticised by many more who watched on last night.

Now Milner has taken to Twitter to share a picture that he believes sums up how the game went:

Liverpool didn’t get anyone sent off on the night, but six yellow cards suggests the referee wasn’t happy with their aggressive tactics.

However, it looked more like PSG players making the most of any tackles on the night and sucking the referee into punishing their opponents.

Still, Liverpool have a good chance of qualifying if they can beat Napoli in the final game of the group in two weeks.
