The 21-year-old centre-back is on-loan with Steven Gerrard’s side for the rest of the season and has impressed of late with some of his composed performances.
Worrall has managed to oust Nikola Katic and become the regular partner for Connor Goldson, but any Gers fan hoping for a permanent deal should perhaps temper their expectations.
Speaking after yesterday’s 2-0 win over St Mirren, via the Sun, Worrall was told Gerrard was keen on keeping him, but he explained: “It’s obviously nice that the manager says things like that – but I’m on loan from Forest.
“Forest are my team, they employ me and pay my wages. It’s a loan for me.
“I’m really enjoying it here and I thank the gaffer for playing me.
“I’m here until the end of the season so hopefully you’ll see a lot more from me and what I can do.
“I’m just taking every game as it comes.”
Of course, Worrall is just one of several players on-loan at Rangers this season, but is he a player Gerrard should be trying to push the boat out to keep beyond the end of the campaign?
And do you think his comments suggest he isn’t too interested in being in the Scottish Premiership next season?
