Leigh Griffiths has shared his delight after making a scoring return for Celtic.
The Hoops striker has been missing from action since playing in the 6-0 win against St Johnstone at the start of October.
Much was made of Griffiths’ time out, with an injury, illness and a lack of fitness all mentioned as reasons for the absence.
But he looked back fit and firing this afternoon after getting the last 20 minutes of Celtic’s win over Hamilton.
With the score at 2-0, there was little chance that Hamilton would bounce back to get anything out of the game – but Griffiths put the away side out of touch at New Douglas Park with a powerful free-kick.
And after the game, Griffiths took to Instagram to share his delight:
Griffiths will now be hoping he can hit his best form for Celtic after a slow start to the campaign.
Brendan Rodgers’ men take on Rosenborg in the Europa League on Thursday before squaring up against Aberdeen in the Betfred Cup Final next Sunday.
