Plenty of Liverpool Fans Are Blaming Jurgen Klopp for Tonight’s PSG Defeat

Liverpool‘s Champions League hopes are in the balance after tonight’s defeat at the hands of PSG – and plenty of supporters are pointing the finger at manager Jurgen Klopp.

First-half goals from Neymar and Juan Bernat was enough to seal a 2-1 victory for the Ligue 1 side, with James Milner’s penalty on the stroke of half-time nothing more than a consolation.

The Reds’ coach is loved by the club’s fans after three years of producing scintillating, high-octane football, and making the club a force to be reckoned with in Europe once again.

However, it seems his midfield comprised of three ‘work horses’ in Henderson, Wijnaldum and Milner drew the ire of some fans on social media, whilst others couldn’t quite figure out why he waited until the 66th minute to make his first sub:

Whilst tonight’s defeat was undoubtedly damaging, a win by two goals or more at home to Napoli on match-day six will see Liverpool progress, but what do you make of the criticisms above?

Do they have a point, or are they far too harsh?
