Liverpool fans could have an exciting up-and-coming prospect on their hands after a 16-year-old defender was promoted seven years above his natural age group.
Ki- Jana Hoever is formerly of the famous Ajax youth set-up and has been making big impressions around Liverpool’s Melwood Training complex ever since joining last summer.
Ki- Jana Hoever is very close to being signed by LFC. He has been training at Kirkby Academy this week already. A versatile player from Ajax academy, fullback who can also play CB. We need more talented CBs in our academy. Looks like has a great free kick shot. pic.twitter.com/kzGTBGAUMF

At the age of just 16, you’d expect to be a while before Hoever is in the running for a first-team berth under Jurgen Klopp, but he’s already managed to break into the club’s Under-23 side, and was hailed for his display in the recent 1-0 win over Everton.
Given Klopp is known to be keen to blood young players in his first-team squad, like Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold, some Reds fans are already getting pretty excited by Hoever’s emergence:
Ki-Jana Hoever, 16 years of age, excellent for #LFCU23s so far. The young Dutch defender looks a real talent. Technically excellent, good physically and can play in multiple positions.

Hoever looks good. Camacho's decision making is really bad.

Liverpool have got a player in Hoever, reminds me of a young Gomez.
Composed, can play and is a proper athlete, at just 16 will be challenging Trent in next few years I reckon.

Do you think the teenager could be the next exciting prodigy off the Melwood conveyor belt?
