Moussa Dembele Dropped From Lyon Squad Amidst Rumours of Fallout with Manager

Moussa Dembele has been omitted from Lyon‘s match-day squad for this evening’s crucial Champions League clash with Manchester City in France.

Lyon could seal qualification for the knockout rounds if they manage to win tonight, and they’ll fancy their chances of doing so after beating Pep Guardiola’s stars at the Etihad earlier this season.

But they’ll need to do it without their £20 million former Celtic forward, after Dembele was conspicuously absent from tonight’s starting XI and the subs bench:

The reason why Dembele is absent hasn’t been confirmed as yet, but several sources are claiming he’ll watch the match from the stands, whilst social media is rife with suggestions he and manager Bruno Génésio have had a bust-up:

Dembele’s spell in Glasgow was relatively peaceful, but he did fallout with Brendan Rodgers as he attempted to win his move back to France at the start of September.
