Plenty of Fans Want Neil Lennon as the New Republic of Ireland Manager

The Republic of Ireland are looking for a new manager this afternoon, and plenty of supporters are tipping Neil Lennon as the perfect man to take over.

After a dire run of results, which included more than six-and-a-half hours without a solitary goal, the FAI decided to dispense with boss Martin O’Neill and his assistant Roy Keane earlier today, bringing to an end their five-year reign in charge.

After being relegated from League B in the Nations League, the job for whoever is drafted in to replace O’Neill is a pretty big one, but the current Hibs manager seems to be continuously cropping up on social media.

Having led to Hibees to promotion from the Championship at the first time of asking, Lennon has developed the Edinburgh club into one of the best clubs in Scotland  – leading many to believe the former Northern Ireland captain is the man to bring the good times back to the Aviva Stadium:

Do you think Lennon would be a decent choice as Ireland manager?
