The 23-year-old was sent out on-loan by previous Gers boss Pedro Caixinha, and he spent last season with Charlton in League One, where he failed to impress after scoring just one goal in an injury-ravaged spell.
But this season has been a totally different story, with Dodoo having scored four goals in his last four games, including a sublime over-head kick against Accrington Stanley earlier this month.
The former Leicester City forward is one of the form players in England’s League One, and his impressive displays have definitely been catching the eye with supporters north of the border:
Joe Dodoo just scored. Get him back. 55

Joe Dodoo. Tall, quick, strong, skilful, can finish. Everything we thought Sadiq would be. Big man is starting to bang them in for Blackpool. Could do a lot worse than punt Sadiq in January and bring him back. Plus he has an average size head.

Joe Dodoo seems to be doin the business for Blackpool at the minute. If Solanke doesn’t happen then bringing him back might not be a bad shout.

I would have had dodoo up top against the sheep rather than sadiq.

I still believe in Dodoo

It would appear there's been a mix up, Rangers have actually sent Umar Sadiq and not Joe Dodoo on loan to yourselves, I'm confident this can be corrected soon and sort this mess out

Bring back joe dodoo and release sadiq seems like dodoo is coming onto a bit of form

Joe Dodoo’s turned into a fuckin gymnast since leaving for Blackpool.
Overhead kick last week, scissor the day – great stuff 🔴⚪️🔵👌🏻 https://t.co/yFqqG771Ea

If we don’t recall Joe Dodoo just so we can sing “Joe Dodoo du du du du du du” to the theme of ‘baby shark’ we’ve missed a trick. Another number one in the making!

Given several Rangers players have been revitalised under Steven Gerrard, could we once again see Dodoo pulling on the club’s iconic light blue shirt?
What do you think?
