The SFA have explained why Rangers midfielder Daniel Candeias was shown a second yellow card during the win against St Mirren earlier this month.
The Portuguese winger was given his marching orders in the final stages of the Gers’ 2-0 victory in Paisley after exchanging words with Buddies defender Anton Ferdinand, but onlooking fans were left bemused by the decision.
Rangers appealed the decision but were unsuccessful, and felt forced to submit an official complaint to the SFA about referee Willie Collum, as we told you last week.
Now, the country’s footballing hierarchy have explained exactly why Candeias was brandished with a second yellow, but we’re not entirely sure it’ll satisfy everyone in the corridors of power at Ibrox.
BREAKING: The SFA confirm the reason Daniel Candeias received his second yellow card against St Mirren:
"Making gestures towards the opponent after the scoring of a goal and becoming further involved with the opponent as he made his way upfield after celebrating the goal". pic.twitter.com/nfi5TC1m2J

After reading the explanation, do you think it vindicates the decision to dismiss Candeias, or does it simply lead to more questions than answers?
And how do you think Rangers will react to the news?
