Video: Alan Hutton Morphs into Diego Maradona and Scores Wonder Goal for Aston Villa

Alan Hutton scored undoubtedly the greatest goal of his entire career yesterday by taking the ball and doing his best impression of Diego Maradona for Aston Villa against Birmingham City.

The 33-year-old full-back has become something of a cult hero to the Villa Park faithful after seven years as a loyal servant in the claret and blue, and he certainly gave them something to shout about against their arch city rivals..

After collecting the ball comfortably inside his own half, Hutton charges towards the Birmingham defence and manages to evade tackles from FIVE of his opponents, before coolly turning onto his left foot and stroking the ball into the bottom corner:

The incredible move even prompted Villa fans to re-write Brazilian legend Cafu’s Wikipedia page:

Given Scotland are in pretty desperate need of a right-back at the moment, could Alex McLeish perhaps be tempted to give the former Rangers defender a call?

What do you think of the goal?
