Video: Bournemouth’s Jefferson Lerma Scores a Sensational Own Goal Against Arsenal

Bournemouth midfielder Jefferson Lerma scored a Goal of the Month contender this afternoon during the match against Arsenal – it just so happens his goal ended up being FOR Arsenal, rather than for his employers.

The Colombian international has cemented himself as an automatic pick in the Cherries midfield after his move from Levante last summer for a club record fee of around £25 million, and he looked in the mood in the early parts of today’s Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium.

However, goalkeeper Asmir Begovic would probably suggest Lerma was a little bit too keen to make his presence felt:

To be fair, if you’re going to score an own goal, you may as well do it in eye-catching style like that, eh?

Ironically, Lerma only scored his first goal for Bournemouth earlier this month against Newcastle United, but what do you think of his latest strike?
