Celtic showed off their expensive new lighting show in Glasgow tonight ahead of the Europa League tie against RB Leipzig.

The Hoops are thought to have shelled out around £4million throughout 2018 as they attempt to transform Parkhead into one of the continent’s top sporting venues, and the new LED floodlights are definitely the highlight addition.

The renovations were announced in the summer but fans had yet to experience the new lights, but tonight’s clash with the Bundesliga cracks was the perfect opportunity, now we’re firmly into the winter months.

The so-called ‘disco lights’ have become slightly controversial over the last few months, particularly in the wake of the club’s disappointing summer transfer window, but we reckon they looked pretty slick ahead of kick-off and they seem to be going down well with supporters:

What do you think of the lights? Is this the kind of innovations Scottish clubs need to make to improve the match-day experience for fans?
