Video: David Silva Scores an Absolutely Brilliant Goal For Man City Against Southampton

David Silva reminded Manchester City fans exactly what he’s capable of this afternoon by scoring an absolutely brilliant goal against Southampton at the Etihad.

Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues won the Premier League title at a canter last season, collecting 100 points on the way, and it seems they’re on the way to doing it all over again.

Hosting struggling Southampton, it took City just six minutes to take the lead, with Wesley Hoedt putting through his own net, and then Sergio Aguero made it 2-0 after 12 minutes.

But the highlight of the first-half was undoubtedly Silva’s thumping finish, which arrived after a rampant spell of breathtaking football for the home side:

Not a bad way to finish off a slick move, eh?

He’s been in the Premier League for eight seasons now, but has David Silva done enough to be considered one of the all-time greats?

What do you think?
